How to Install ecj software package in Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (Xenial Xerus)

ecj software package provides standalone version of the Eclipse Java compiler, you can install in your Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (Xenial Xerus) by running the commands given below on the terminal,

$ sudo apt-get update
$ sudo apt-get install ecj

ecj is installed in your system.

Make ensure the ecj package were installed using the commands given below,

$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep ecj *

You will get with ecj package name, version, architecture and description in a table
